Wow, what a week! The Writers’ Collective 2022/23 reached a momentous conclusion in August, where the four plays developed over the programme were brought to life by creatives and shared with over 200 audience members. We’re so proud of our four writers and supporting teams!

We are overjoyed to finally make this project happen after three years of development. DREAM SCHOOL forms part of A Call For Safe Practice, a long-term ambition to provide guidance and training on how to make trauma-informed art safely, made possible thanks to our partner the University of Greenwich, Arts Council England and all those who have donated and supported this vital project over the past two years.

We’re funded!
We are overjoyed to finally be able to share some VERY exciting news! Thanks to Arts Council England, we are now fully funded for The Writers' Collective! This is a 12 month programme which commissions & supports 4 early-career & emerging writers on a new idea - it will employ 46 freelancers (including an assistant director & designer) & will conclude in a new writing festival Summer 2023! We are so excited to get started - from opening applications last November, to fundraising seed commissions. We couldn't have done it without you!

Following an open call-out at the end of 2021, this year’s cohort has been assembled and begin a 4-week guided seed commission in January 2022. It is hoped that this is the beginning of a 12-month programme following successful funding.

Mrs C becomes an Associate Company at The Space Theatre!
The announcement was made on The Space’s “Locked Down, Looking Up” Launch Night, where over 50 artists were involved in launching The Space’s virtual season funded by The Arts Council.
Reading Room
Following the inspiring solidarity shown through out the arts, the company have begun a play-reading initiative encouraging community amongst COVID-19 and beyond. The first month is focused on Marina Carr’s works. The fist monthly meet-up will feature special guests, such as Irish actress and playwright Wallis Hamilton-Felton.
That Was All postponed to Autumn Season due to COVID-19.
Mrs C’s Collective work with The Space to run Q&A’s, play-readings and other community engaging events.

Mrs C’s Collective is heading to TwoFest
Francis Grin’s latest play is featured in the festival, along side two pieces that Charlotte Everest has directed. A festival of dialogues and we couldn’t be more excited to be back working with The Space!
The Space launches their Spring Season
The team of Mrs C celebrated the launch of The Space’s Spring season this Friday 10th January 2020. A combination of theatre, music and conversation ensured the Spring Season has well and truly sprung!
We are thrilled to be contributing to The Space’s TwoFest in February and to be bringing That Was All to them in March 2020.
